Biomass installations can benefit from an attractive rate under
the RHI, which varies according to the boiler size. The biomass
heating systems are ideal for a wide range of buildings which
require heating and/or hot water, such as schools, leisure centres,
care homes, offices, hospitals, manufacturing or glasshouses.

Under the RHI, solar thermal installation under 200kWh benefit
from a tariff rate of 8.5 pence/kWh. solar thermal systems
are ideal for any building with a hot water demand, and are
particularly good for leisure centres, care homes and hospital
applications.

The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) is a £860m financial
incentive programme from the UK Government to encourage the uptake
of renewable heating. The tariff-based mechanism means any
renewable heat that is generated can not only save on fossil fuel
bills, but can also be eligible for a quarterly RHI payment
administered by Ofgem.
